Ronald Harris – Class of 1976

Mr. Ronald Alan Harris, 43, of 602 Wilson Place, Frederick, died Monday, July 2, at his residence. He was the husband of Ruth Ann Harris, whom he married in August 1993. Born Nov. 5, 1957, in Prince George’s County, he was the son of Albert C. Harris of Hagerstown, and Phyllis Jean Gose Collins of Dumfries, Va.

He attended Perry [sic] High School in Rockville.

He had worked for 21 years as a plasterer for the Wilcoxon Construction Co. in Rockville.

He was a member of Frederick Model Airplane Club. He thoroughly enjoyed building and flying his motorized models.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by one son, Justin Alan Harris of Frederick; two sisters, Donna Harris Smith and husband Michael of Potomac, and Sharon Harris Fowler and husband Jack of Delray Beach, Fla.; and his stepfather, Gerald S. Collins of Dumfries.

A memorial service [was] held Friday, July 6, at 2 p.m. at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home in Frederick, MD. The Rev. Stacey L. Brady, of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick, officiated.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions to be made to Frederick County Humane Society, 5712-D Industry Lane, Frederick, Md. 21704.
